Frogman New Year Polar Plunge
With the rain on New Years Day the Frogman Polar Plunge was initially postponed, but last Saturday we were able to kick the morning off with a jump into Alamitos Bay with our fellow Long Beach neighbors. The water was cold, but the breakfast burritos, hot chocolate, coffee and libations kept us warm. The 74 degree weather didn’t hurt either.
Labor Day Canal Cleanup
Following our successful Memorial Day Weekend event, we decided to see what lies beneath the east The Toledo bridge. Again, with a great group of sponsors including Gondola Getaway, Small Cafe, KC Branaghan’s, and the Ben Fisher Group, we had more amazing prizes to give away. This time we were able to haul up 326.5 lbs, including some dangerous pipes that could have potentially harmed swimmers and passing boats. Another successful clean up.
Memorial Day Weekend Canal Cleanup
Since our inception we always knew we wanted to give back to our community, and living on Naples Island with little ones, we wanted to prioritize the iconic canal we all love so much. We decided to kick off our inaugural canal cleanup at the Ravenna bridge, and with the support of some great local sponsors (KC Branaghan’s, The Small Cafe, NIA, Gondola Getaway, and more) we were able to offer prizes in a “Price is Right” style guess of how many pounds of trash we would be able to haul up. After 2 hours we collected a grand total of 302.5 lbs! Looking forward to the next one.
Navy SEAL Foundation Golf Tournament
Frogman Yacht Service had the honor of sponsoring the 7th hole at the legendary Pelican Hill Golf Course for the annual Navy SEAL Foundation charity golf tournament. It was a great surprise to see and catch up with some old teammates and instructors, and to meet other SEALs participating in the tournament. It was a great experience and we will be back again next year.
